Student accommodation is available in varying sizes, from cosy one-bed and two-bed flats right up to 15-bed party houses. If you’d like to find a home somewhere in the middle, why not check out one of our seven-bed properties? Enid Blyton hit the nail on the head when she penned her Secret Seven series. From the seven deadly sins and seven colours in the rainbow to seven days of the week, this is a significant number that could spell out a house that becomes your home. While usually snapped up ahead of other properties, this year we have three great houses that are still up for grabs, and they each have seven bedrooms. But they won’t be around for long, so if you’ve got six mates (or like the idea of meeting new people) check out these brilliant rentals.

3 Amity Place

At less than a 5-minute walk to both the University of Plymouth and Plymouth College of Art, this sought-after property is located just off North Hill. An ‘A’ grade property spread over three floors, it’s a big house with a personal feel. If you ever feel cooped up when you’ve spent hours at your desk, a star feature of this property is the roof space. Watch the sunset over the sea and enjoy al fresco dining in your private outdoor area. Perfect for entertaining, as is the private courtyard which can be entered through French doors off the dining room – a perk for BBQ lovers.

The ground floor is made up of a homely living space, kitchen, dining room with utility area, courtyard and bathroom. On the first floor, there’s an en-suite room complete with shower and toilet, bedrooms 1-3 and another shower room. Bedrooms 4-6 are on the top floor, along with the roof terrace.

The cheapest room is £94pw, the most expensive is £109pw, and all the others are £98pw (all including bills). Perks at this property include a 43-inch SMART TV, with the license paid for by Student Rooms 4 U. If you get in early, you could also gain use of one of the limited car park spaces (at an extra cost).

Drake House

Another property located just off North Hill, Drake House is less than a 5-minute walk to both the University of Plymouth and Plymouth College of Art. Spread over three floors, this property has a modern feel and a sleek, high-end finish.

If you prefer cosy nights in to hitting the town, this is a property you’ll love to spend time in come the winter – the attractive marble fireplace with living flame fire is a warming place to gather in the evenings with a glass of wine. The SMART TV is another focus feature, and the license is paid for by Student Rooms 4 U.

A chef’s paradise, the large kitchen diner is a fun place to socialise and cook together with your flatmates. Cooking together is also a great way of saving money. The unusual shape of the house gives each room a unique feel, and tasteful decorations help to make this house feel like a home. All bedrooms are similarly sized and priced at £94pw to £96pw (all including bills).

Gould House

Want to live in a larger house but enjoy your peace and quiet? Gould House is away from the main thoroughfare of traffic in its own private complex, but just off North Hill behind the Spar.  With an upside-down layout (featuring most of the bedrooms on the lower ground floor) this is somewhere you can really hunker down and study in a quiet, relaxing environment.

The main living space is cosy and comfortable with an L shaped sofa and other chairs, too. All tenants have use of the three double shower rooms with WC. We offer our students the Virgin Media superfast broadband package (which has a download speed of 350 Mbps), with unlimited uploads and downloads – perfect for studying and leisure activities.

Most bedrooms are similarly sized and priced at £93pw, with the two larger rooms costing £97pw (all including bills).

Whichever property you like the look of, remember to check out the virtual tours on the Student Homes 4 U website to get a feel for the size and style of the property. We’re more than happy to arrange a telephone tour where we can talk you through the property as you view it virtually from home. Rent for all our properties include bills for electric, gas, water (up to a usage allowance of £10 per person, per week) and also includes internet. We don’t ask for deposits, guarantors or administration fees, and also remember that Student Rooms 4 U provide individual tenancies – if one of your flatmates decides to leave, it’s not up to you to pay their rent!

If you have questions about these three properties, or any other rentals available from Student Rooms 4 U, please get in touch. We’re entering the busy season now as students want to grab a great property before they’re all fully booked, so we recommend getting in contact as early as possible. We can also help you find flatmates to share with if you don’t know who to live with for the next academic year. Good luck with your house hunting, and we hope you’ll soon be making a visit to seven’s door!
